As part of a personal initiative to improve myself as a designer and land the next opportunity within the product design and UI/UX industry, I've analyzed my previous portfolio website. Here are some key findings that I've observed:
On the home page, this problem also encapsulates how void of identity it has and serves as a very barebones portfolio page:
Revamp the portfolio to provide a more cohesive experience and optimize project files to better exemplify projects I've worked on to date with my previous roles and companies. With this method, I also intend on significantly boosting my odds of landing my next designer opportunity.
This revamped portfolio will not only be set up in a way that has a clearer focus on what projects are but also have a sense of identity to it utilizing specific colors, fonts, and various components
With a clearer layout, not only will projects be displayed in a grid format, but having important call to actions such as "Contact Me" and "View Project" assists the user on navigating through my projects instead of having no indication as shown in my previous portfolio layout.
Along with a more cohesive flow and structure, this revamp has been long overdue not only in showcasing my works effectively but also establishing a brand identity I've been lacking through these few years. Alongside my expertise, I feel this revamp is essential in not only proving my design capabilities but showcases that doing personal projects also gives additional insight on any shortcomings that previously went unnoticed.
